Important, life altering information, please pay attention for the greater good of mankind.
So, a friend of mine by the name of Nina sent me an amazing playlist of dance music at my request seeing as, as of late, I seem to have fallen off the bandwagon of hip new music slightly. Upon listening I came across the song "Hot Chick" by Uffie. Yeah yeah, I know, old news, everyone is already into Uffie. However, I first heard Uffie about a year ago, and I hated it. I thought the beats were typical, her voice annoyed me, and it just wasn't for me. Now, I can't get enough. It just goes to show that as you expand your musical taste, you appreciate a lot of types you didn't before. This time last year I was in my "metal" phase, and if the song didn't have some epic guitar driven breakdown, I deemed it unworthy of my ears. It was unfortunate. Now, I choose to listen to all types of music and life is much better, even if I don't like a certain type of music I can learn to appreciate it, which is something we all should do more often. So as my sincere apology to Uffie, this post is dedicated to her and her fun, upbeat, aggressive, ballsy lyrics and beats.

listen to: Hot Chick. then dance to it around your house in your underwear.
Alright now I am going to pretend like my opinion on fashion really matters and discuss how I am totally over, absolutely hate, and wish the trend of overly baggy shirts and dresses would die in a fire. Seriously though, why do these designers think that women and girls want to walk around in a garment shaped like a potato sack? it's not cute, it's not sexy, and it's by no means flattering. The store that is most guilty of this horrid crime is H&M. Now, don't get me wrong, I like H&M, I think they are very good at providing trendy clothes for a decent quality at a decent price. HOWEVER, they overkill it sometimes. I walked in there last week because I needed a simple black dress for a funeral, a one time use dress so I wanted something cheap so naturally H&M was my first stop. While I was able find an adorable Audrey Hepburn inspired pencil fit black dress, I didn't make my discovery until I had to make my way through an ocean of over-sized, shapeless, baggy dresses. Now, some baggy looks can work, and work very well, but here's the rule of thumb: if you look at a garment meant to fit loosely, try it on in a size 2 sizes smaller than your real size; if it looks better than your real size, chances are the look is not flattering and should be avoided. We're women, if we wanted to be in baggy clothes we'd walk around in our boyfriends tshirts; we have curves (well, most of us), we have hips and boobs and butts and regardless if you're a 2 or a 12, YOU WILL NOT LOOK SEXY IN SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A 4 YEAR OLD PLAYING DRESS UP IN YOUR MOMMY'S CLOTHES.
End rant.
On another note, please appreciate how Juicy Couture's ready-to-wear spring collection this year has extremely adorable, reasonably priced sun dresses. Sun dresses are my favorite part of warm weather, they look good on everyone and automatically make you feel breezy and care free. (or maybe it's just me and I allow fashion to make me way happier than it should) The funny thing is, before this collection I've never been a fan of Juicy Couture; I hate those velour handbags they make and I still don't understand why you would pay $200 for a pair of sweatpants that say "juicy" across the rear. However, check out their spring dresses, they are worth it.
